This is the hardest post Ive had to write. Anyone who is a bird lover knows how special a privilege it is to have and care for these majestically and instinctively wise creatures. They choose you, you dont choose them! So it is with a heavy heart that Im forced to let our two precious babies go. Unfortunately my health is deteriorating and I can no longer give them the care they deserve. Please note though that whomever responds to this ad, please be prepared for a "thorough" interview. We HAVE to make sure that you are in an adequate position to take care of GCCs and more importantly that you are A GCC lover!!! These birds are extremely difficult to care for, its like having two babies in the home -a lot of work but so rewarding!!. So you must have the patience, temperament and resources to give them ALL the care they need. When birds go to neglected homes, they pluck their feathers and eventually die. Thus you can understand our abundance of caution with whomever will make these birds a part of their FOREVER family.
