I recently purchased an American cocker spaniel puppy from an experienced and responsible breeder in FL. I’m a single mom with 4 year old son and thought the puppy would fill a space in our hearts since his father left in May. I'm having a very hard time with house training. He seems to be trained for pee pads and mats but I need to retrain him now to go outside. I’m also struggling with the attention that he requires, even while working from home has been quite difficult. He is too young right now to be alone for more than two hours so I’m not able to go into the office without having a sitter or walker. The added expense is more than I budgeted for. I’m not sure I will be able to manage work + son + puppy on my own. If you, or anyone you know, may be interested in a new puppy, please contact me. This is breaking my heart but he deserves more than I can give him right now.
