Looking to rehome an energetic young boxer/golden/lab mix. Embark DNA tested. A backyard with a high fence is required. He can scale most fences and loves to roam, so he would not do well in an apartment or small space. He adores the company of other dogs, is both crate and house trained, knows basic commands, and is the sweetest goofball. He loves ALL people, but I suggest he goes to a family with older children. I have a toddler who he has knocked down out of excitement or while bolting past her on several occasions, so I would not recommend a home with smaller kids. Preferably, he would live out the rest of his life on a farm with acres of land for him to enjoy. Daily walks has not been enough for a dog as high energy as him. He loves to dig, so please keep that in mind. He doesn't have destructive tendencies, but he is crated when left alone, so he hasn't had the opportunity to destroy personal items. He has never roamed freely around the house when we are gone because he's full of too much energy (and anxiety) for us to have felt comfortable to leave him out while we are away. He is both neutered and microchipped, but it is time for him to get his annual vaccines. It comes down to our family not being a good fit for him. After two years of having him, we have come to the that he needs a far more active lifestyle than we can provide currently. This is an extremely difficult decision for our family, who never wanted to consider rehoming him, but it will benefit him greatly to join a new loving family who has the time and commitment to provide him a less structured lifestyle. Serious inquiries only. Will not consider homes that don't match the description provided.
