Recently Adopted Cockatiel Birds Near Woodburn
Bonded Cockatiel Pair
I haven’t even had this pair for a year… They were surrendered to petco so they are older. Their names are Pelon and Campanita. Campanita is a normal pied and Pelon is a normal cockatiel. I was told they were 4& 8. I suspect Pelon is older than that. Pelon has been bald since we got him (which is why he was on discount). We expected his feathers to grow back in but they never did. Pelon can be a bit mean and I assume jealous? So… Campanita LOVESSS head scratches. He will sing beautifully while getting his orange cheeks scratched! Pelon hates that… When I am scratching Campanita’s head Pelon will bite at Campanita. They are a bonded pair so they must go together. I have tried separating them because Pelon can be a bit aggressive towards Campanita BUT they just yell and yell until reunited. Campanita loves to sing and it is so beautiful! He will sing throughout the day and when he sees people he will go to a top corner and sing which means he wants head scratches. Like I mentioned he also sings when getting head scratches. They both enjoy being out of their cages. They honestly never really do much and takes a while for them to leave their cage but once their out they seem happy. They aren’t the best of fliers… No idea why I haven’t clipped them as I don’t clip any of my birds. They will mostly walk around so have to be very careful! Pelon likes to be unbothered at all times. He will hiss and pretend like he will bite as a warning but he’s never actually bit anyone in the time we’ve had him. Neither of them know how to step up so getting them back in the cage is a struggle! Campanita has been around other birds such as other cockatiels and budgies! He is great with other birds! Pelon I have never tried it because im sure it wouldn’t go well… He is aggressive towards his partner so i’m sure he would be aggressive with others. They eat roudybush pellets and seeds. From time to time they will eat fruits and vegetables. They love bananas! We sadly don’t have a cage that can go with them. We had them in a bigger cage then their current one but it broke so they have been stuck in a smallish cage for about 2 months. I am looking to rehome them because I have gotten more into breeding. I had been breeding budgies for about 3 years now but recently got really into it and decided to expand into conures! Hopefully expand even more in the future. Working with the babies is very time consuming. I have other pets as well and I don’t have enough time to care for babies and pay attention to all my pets. I had to rehome a bunch of my budgies and as much as I didn’t want to i’m looking to rehome them. There is a rehoming fee of 300. We paid 380 for one and 175 for the other so trying to get some of our money back. Fee is a bit negotiable… TO RIGHT HOME ONLY. I don’t want them to get flipped. I feel bad enough that I am rehoming them. They have been moving too much and need a stable place that will love them.View Detail
Male cockatiel pair
We were going to rehome Pelon about a month ago we found out he is bonded to our Campanita! We really didn’t want to rehome Pelon much less both of them. We tried separating them and they will just yell until they are back together. They fight when together which is why we had no idea they were bonded! They would most likely do best in 2 separate cages right next to eachother. They are both males. Campanita is such a sweet bird and sings so beautifully throughout the day. He will sit on top corner of cage and chirp for head scratches. They both love to be taken out of their cage and do their own thing. Pelon is not the kind of bird who really wants much affection. He just gets out and does whatever he wants to. Campanita as much as he loves being pet he is a struggle to take out just as much ad Pelon. Once he is on you he will be with you calmly and happily but getting him out is a struggle. Pelon will get out and just do whatever he wants to do. Campanita will bite at you and Pelon will hiss at you when you try grabbing them. They just don’t know how to step up and it scares them. Campanita only wants to be touched when he is chirping. If he is not chirping he does not want to be touched. When Campanita is chirping Pelon will go and bite at him guessing that is jealousy. They are not very tamed but they are very fun to have around. They sing very pretty and aren’t very loud. They could most likely be tamed with work. We just haven’t put in the work. There is a rehoming fee of 375 WHICH IS NEGOTIABLE TO A GOOD HOME. We paid 380 for just one of them. Pretty sure they are both around 4 years old. They will not be separated and a cage is not going with them. Male cockatiel
No cage will be going with him since he shares with other birds. His name is Pelon. I was told he was around 4 years old haven’t even had him for a year. If you aren’t familiar with cockatiels they can live around 20 years some even live over 30. We have decided to downsize so we are rehoming some birds. His head is bald no idea why he just looked like that when we got him. He isn’t tamed but could be with work. He is housed with other cockatiels but he doesn’t do too well in cage with other birds. He hates sharing… He will hiss at other birds if he wants to be on a certain perch or play with a toy. He enjoys singing with other birds but doesn’t like sharing his space with them. He just doesn’t like sharing a cage with them or anything inside a cage with any other bird. Would do good in a house with other birds as long as you don’t house him with other birds. He is fed Roudybush pellets chop and seeds. He loves bananas! We do not clip his wings. As most cockatiels he gets night fright. Any little sound lighting change or movement around him will cause him to flap around and panic. Would like that he goes to a home who will have him around other birds just so he can sing with them. Wouldn’t mind him going to a home with no birds as he is a bit solitary. Just think it would be nice for him to be able to have others around. He likes to be taken out of his cage and spend time on his own. He will mostly just sit on perches and doesn’t want to be bothered. I’m sure he could be tamed with someone experienced and with time. He would really do best in a home with experienced owners. Although he doesn’t bite hard and isn’t really aggressive he will nibble at you if you try and get your hands near him. He is not free there is a rehoming fee. Not in a hurry to find him a home. Free delivery to surrounding areas and certain Salem areas. Thanks for reading.View Detail
