Apollo is an 11-month old Morkie weighing about 15 pounds. He has a lovable personality and is friendly to people and other dogs. He loves to play more than anything else. He’s great at occupying himself with toys and chews but his preference is to play with other dogs and people. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is in excellent health. Apollo was purchased for $1 700 at Dan’s Kennels in North Collins. All paperwork from the sale and from his veterinarian is available for the buyer. Apollo is crate-trained and spends about eight hours during the work day in his crate without a problem. He also goes in his crate when we leave the house. He doesn’t cry or whine at all in his crate but of course he is happy to come out when we return home! Apollo does not sleep in his crate however. He sleeps with us in the bedroom. He has no problem sleeping though the night. While Apollo will bark at a neighbor or those he sees out front through the window he is by no means an incessant barker. Apollo responds to being told to stop and does so immediately. While playing is Apollo’s top priority he is also very affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses. FYI: Some of the photos in this profile are of Apollo when he was younger and some show him with one of our other dogs. All other photos are current to within days or a couple weeks We are frankly heartbroken at having to find Apollo a new home. We bought him to provide a companion for the younger of our two other dogs but having him has become a great deal more work than we anticipated. As an older middle-aged couple we have a pretty low key lifestyle and have begun to travel more. We don’t have any young children around and we feel Apollo is not really able to get the best home he should from us. I feel the best home for Apollo is one with another friendly dog or two and younger more energetic owners. The motivation for the asking price is entirely out of a desire to find a committed and capable owner.
