He will do okay in an apartment if it is sufficiently exercised. They are fairly active indoors and will do okay without a yard. This is a suitable breed for kids and is known to be playful, energetic, and affectionate around them. This little dogs were bred to work. he is energetic and thrive on an active life and need to be taken on a daily walk. He can jog for short distances. Grooming should be performed regularly to keep its fur in good shape. Occasional trimming or stripping needed. Some lines are prone to back problems and genetic eye diseases, but are generally healthy.
