What started as a journey to get 2 parakeets to keep my Mommie happy, has taken on new life after her passing. My parakeets never mated while she was alive, but with her gone now, they mate at least 3 times a year. I have become known as the parakeet lady in my area, but I try to make sure the babies go to loving homes and are not animal bait. Once the parents kick them out of the nest, I take over the hand feeding until they are old enough to eat on their own. Then the process begins for them to go on to another loving hand and home.
