The Pomeranian is a small, toy-sized dog with a wedge-shaped head and a well-proportioned body, straight and fine short muzzle, dark almond-shaped eyes, medium size and thick, double coat colored in red, orange, white, cream, blue, brown, black, black and tan, wolf sable, orange sable, brindle and white with colored markings. It is called Pom or Pom Pom as it is named after Pomerania, a region in Central Europe. It is friendly, playful, energetic and protective.
