Rides with or without spurs (I rarely ever ride with them). I have taken him to several fun shows and have done some open barrel racing off him. He needs some work to keep from sitting and spinning into the barrel. First owners ran him to the right first, I have been running him to the left first do to him being seemingly more responcive and quicker on his right turns. I don't know if he's ever done pole bending or not before I got him but his quick shouldering turns amazed me at the fun show pole bending! Like an ol pro. I'm his 3rd owner. He's rein broke and will ride loose rein outside of the arena (even after his run for cool off) but gets excited and a little hot in the arena. I recomend an experianced or advanced intermediate for him due to his excited fast paced spurts. No buck, kick, rear, bite, ect. Previous owners rode him with a tie down, short shank chain mouth combo bit with a chin strap. She said he was to hot for her to be a good ranch horse. I personaly think having his head so restricted and a strap pushing into his chin when the reins where pulled was causing the hot anxiety. I have been riding him without a tie down or chin strap. Just a regular dog bone snaffle bit and he's been calm and quiet for me, still turning on the heat when its time to run but breaks right back down into a walk. He's soft mouthed, has a light handle, turns on a dime, flexes, and backs bending at the poll when asked. He's ponied another horse as well as been ponied off of another horse. Kills me to put this guy up for sale but I don't have time to ride him and work with him like I need to. He hasent been rode much in the past year. Still putting weight back on from the winter. He's way to nice of a horse to just be sitting in my pasture. Loads and rides in a step up stalk trailer and a straight load two horse with a ramp. Price is firm. If you call and I don't answer please leave your name and number and ill give you a call back. .for more infor you can get back to me via email or text on (xxx) xxx-xxx0
