Meet Zach! He is a Rat Terrier with Decker breeding, that will be 25-30 lbs when grown. Don't hold me to that exactly! He may be just a tad bigger. Zach is a friendly guy who is a bit more shy (and quiet) than others. If there is a commotion, he will not just jump right into the fray. First he will look around, check out what is going on, THEN join in. He's a thinker-then-doer, smarter than average! (And these guys are all smart). Decker terriers are in general larger than your standard rat terriers. They have more of a laid-back personality: an off switch inside, but plenty of energy to run all day behind a bike, a horse or an active hiker. Perfect size, easily transportable, but have a big-dog personality. These pups are known for their amazing loyalty to "their" person, and the ability to adapt to many a different living situation. Some of our pups have ended up on farms and ranches, with back-country hikers and riders, in towns, remote locations, and high-rise apartments. They do love chasing mice (and rats of course) but will live happily with your house cat inside. Zach's mom and dad are Zeva and Riddle, pictures included.
