They also tend to wag their tails and stamp their feet when they are unhappy. They love playing games and are natural hunters. However, unless it's safe for a cat to go outside, it's best to keep an Egyptian Mau as an indoor pet which they do adapt to very well. However, they need to be given lots of interactive toys for them to be truly happy if they are not allowed to go outside for safety reasons.
