Cricket is an exceptionally affectionate 7 month old kitten who showed up in our yard last month skinny and seeking love and attention. She is up to around 7 pounds now. Her exact breed is unknown, but she looks most like a Russian Blue. We have had her spayed and gotten initial vaccines. She is litter box trained and well-mannered (she stays off the tables and counters) and is content being an indoor cat. Cricket loves to play and invents her own games to make play more challenging. She hides her toy mice then “discovers” them and goes in for the pounce. This kitty loves to play and cuddle, even likes belly rubs. Cricket likes to spend her afternoons napping in a sunny spot or under our bed. The most unique feature this sweet girl has is her vocalizations. Her meow is really quiet like a little squeak and when you reach to pet her she chirps like a cricket. She enjoys watching the birds and squirrels out the window and makes a clicking sound when she spots one. Our observations suggest that Cricket is at ease around dogs. She is a delightful kitten that is free to a cat-loving person or family. Unfortunately, we have obligations that will take us out of state for possibly months at a time to help care for an ailing family member, making it difficult for us to offer Cricket the stability and attention she deserves. We will foster her for now rather than put her in a shelter because it is best for the cat. This cat comes with a full set of kitty accessories! Everything you need to care for her.
