The Beagle and Shih-Tzu mix is an amazing crossbreed, they stay toy size when full grown. So they are perfect for inside pets or outside. They vary as for their hair length, where beagles are short haired and Shih-Tzu are long haired the bea-tzu varies .I can can say that they are pretty hypoallergenic because I have awful allergies with most animals but these don't really bother me... The Bea-Tzu dogs are pretty rare but an amazing breed of dog. Their breed has been developed by crossing the Beagle with the Shih-Tzu which has produced a dog popular for its loyalty, intelligence and great demeanor. This dog is an ideal companion dog, they are absolutely perfect for families and children. They are loving, compassionate and very mild tempered dogs and they also double as a watchdog as it is very loyal and protective in nature. I can say from experience and ref if needed: this is my 3rd litter and I have gotten updates over the last couple of years that they are wonderful with kids. I have kids of my own and my son has def put the first litter to the test just being a kid. These dogs are absolutely amazing for children or just a companion.
