Hey guys…..I unfortunately need to rehome our 1 year 4mo. Siberian husky names Ezekiel, Zeke for short - he is AKC
He has grown to dislike our 9 year old boy (brown dog) and has become possessive. Due to this we just can’t keep him anymore. Our 9 year old is also male and we know that’s why he doesn’t like him but obviously the safety of both of them is our main concern. As you can see in the pictures they are fine, but he gets territorial of his kennel and food, and we can’t keep them apart 24/7.
Zeke is an AMAZING husky. He sits, lays down, shakes. He know “ok” as a release word, he knows “come” “stay” “up” “treat” he’s very smart…..but he’s a husky so he won’t always listen! He talks back….a lot.
He will escape the back yard if he CAN but he hasn’t dug any holes in attempt to escape….he just jumps. So he needs a fenced yard. He is kennel trained….but only to sleep and go in as he pleases. The minute you shut the door your in trouble. He doesn’t like to feel trapped, so no kennel as a wait to contain him please!
He gets along with girl dogs, just the male dogs are a hit or miss. We can take him to the park just fine we just make sure to keep an eye on him. You may even need to fix him and I’m sure this will solve the dominance issue. Our vet told us he needed to be a little older.
He’s also fantastic In the car, but needs to be in a kennel in the back of the truck bed if your going to put him in the bed (he’s jumped out once before with a leash and once without a leash) so he needs to be in a kennel IF you don’t want him in the truck. But he does fine in a vehicle! I love letting him sit passenger in my car:) he’s also full grown! Which to me is the perfect size because I can pick him up when/if I need to. And he’s perfect size for my lap:)
He had his puppy shots but they are now expired, he needs his yearly
