French Bulldog is originated from France but Finnish Hound is originated from Finland. French Bulldog may grow 27 cm / 10 inches shorter than Finnish Hound. French Bulldog may weigh 11 kg / 24 pounds lesser than Finnish Hound. Both French Bulldog and Finnish Hound has same life span. French Bulldog may have less litter size than Finnish Hound. As one of Finland’s most popular dogs, the Finnish Hound isn’t particularly well known outside of Finnish borders. Known also as the Finsk Stovare, the Finnish Hound, known for its hunting skills, came about because of a breeding effort which started way back in the 1800s, mixing dogs such as different French, Swedish, and German hounds.
These hounds were used with the idea being to develop a dog that could do well in Finland’s terrain. The Finnish Hound is a great hunting dog but isn’t looked upon as an particularly awesome pet, although some pet owners would beg to differ.
Frenchie is a good companion dog and has a powerful muscular body. They like to play but also likes to relax for more time. They are good children friendly dogs as they like to play with them. It will be good if they are supervised by an adult.
They are polite with everyone including other pets. They love to play games and chase balls but don't need much exercise.
Frenchies adapts well for apartment living but they don't like being alone for long time. They will not tolerate both hot and cold weather and so air conditioning will be better.
French Bulldogs are easy to train and are very much interested in playing.
The Finnish Hound has always been a working dog and so he will require being well exercised.

Frenchies can suffer from Von Willebrand's disease(VWD)and thyroid condition. Due to their flat faces they suffer from elongated soft palate or cleft palate. Because of their compacted air way they have inability to effectively regulate temperature.
