Recently Adopted Amazon Birds Near Washington
Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot
Her name is Kiwi and she is a Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot is a female, 4 years old (hatched on May 27, 2018) I bought her from a good breeder Royal Bird Company (based in Charlott NC) and received her on September 23, 2018 (she flew to me on Delta airlines). She’s been trained to step up, sings a few songs like Happy Birthday, Good Morning, lullaby; very talkative, loves toys, speaks Pretty Bird, several more words; bilingual ( speaks hello, goodbye, how are you in russian). Loves when people sing to her. She is 100% healthy. She loves when showered with water (using flower sprayer), needs nails trimming at times, I do not cut her wings so she flies very well. Sometimes I walk with her outside but she must have a security leash not to fly away!
I am looking for someone who will love her, take good care of her, and will interact with her more than I can. She doesn’t need to cover her cage when sleeping; loves when someone sings her lullaby before she goes to sleep, sleeps based on the owners schedule.
I am extremely quiet person, it has been very hard working out together, my work requires great concentration and the bird sometimes can be noisy (very cute and funny when she sings and talks) but at times she screams. I wish I could give her more but we are too different in nature and habits and it doesn’t work out. Plus I am moving out for college into rent with no pets allowed.
The person sho chooses to buy her can contact me (we could do a video call if you like and discuss); the person will need to come physically and pick her up from my house (I will not be shipping her). I will also provide with a bird her cage, her twigs and toys, other bird related supplies, bird travel cage, (bonus is additional outside cage aviary if you’d like). 2 Amazon Parrots
We need to find a good home for our two Amazon parrots. They are a male and a female who have a wide vocabulary. They say everything from here kitty kitty, pretty bird, what you doing baby, space, good morning, how you doing, and even occasionally swear. They even laugh, cough, and sneeze! They must go together as they are a pair and would not do well if separated. They’re most talkative and active in the morning. Once they get to know you I love to ride on your shoulder, or on your hand but they have to have time to build that trust with you before they’ll feel safe enough to allow you to touch them. I’m not sure how they would do around other animals as they are all we’ve had. The female is about 10 years old, and the male is about eight years old. They require a lot of human interaction which we have not been able to give them a lot of and that is why we feel it’s best we rehome them . They come with a very large cage, a large perch, toys, and food.View Detail
