Looking for Her Forever Home
WARNING LONG POST!!! I am looking to re-home my beautiful, friendly & loving, almost 2 year old American Pitt baby Nekoda. I have been suffering from some medical conditions for the past year and it has come to the point where I can no longer take great care of her the way she deserves. Nekoda is a young, healthy female who is full of energy, absolutely loves people (especially men but she doesn't discriminate), and loves to play with other dogs (big or little). She is completely up to date on her shots and has also been fixed. She does have white short hair and sheds but her personality, friendliness, smarts, and love will make up for all the sweeping you will have to do. She's 50 lbs of full on love! Nekoda loves children but doesnt realize her own strength and size (in her excitement to greet them, she can unintentionally knock them down), so it would be best if her new home has older children (9+). She absolutely loves car rides and sticking her head out the window (she has a seatbelt for safety), going for any type of walk, playing fetch or just playing, belly rubs, and like I said earlier, she LOVES playing with other dogs (big, small, young or old). She is curious about cats but knows when to back off when they are displeased with her invading their personal space on sccount of her curiosity. She had been attending doggie daycare at Dogtopia for her socialization, but I couldn't afford the daycare after getting sick. Nekoda is VERY smart and treat motivated. She understands the commands for sit, stay and come (at least she does when she's not too excited or when you have a treat in hand). We are working on her jumping (she loves greeting people and is excited to see them) and not pulling on leash (she does well with her double hook harness.) She is house trained and also crate trained for those times you have to go out during the day. She does NOT like sleeping in her crate at night, (my fault she was spoiled and allowed to sleep with me and be on the furniture) and will bark all night and make a mess in her crate if you attempt to make her. She prefers sleeping with someone but will resign herself to her bed on the floor by your bed if she must. She likes the comfort of being in the same area that you sleep in so that she's not alone. Nekoda does have her naughty side like most other dogs. If she gets bored or doesn't get the attention she thinks she deserves, she will chew on whatever is deemed chewable while you're not looking. She might also (chances are very high) get into mischief if you leave the house without crating her, as she is still young and is trying to entertain herself while you're gone. Keeping her busy is your best friend and if you have a doggy door that's a plus. She likes running out into the yard but also likes checking in on you to make sure that you are still home and maybe even willing to go out and play with her. I am posting a fee to 1-) weed out those who are not serious on giving her the home she deserves and 2-) I want to make sure she can be financially taken care of. I absolutely love my girl (I've been Nekoda's "mom" since she was 2 1/2 months old) and it breaks my heart that I'm re-homing her but she deserves to be with a family who can give her the full emotional, physical, and financial care/time she deserves. If you are interested please email me (xxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxx.xxx) and we can set up a time to meet and get to know each other before you meet Nekoda to see if it's a fit. I really want to make sure she goes to a deserving, loving family who can give her a forever home.View Detail
