Golden Lab White Swiss Shepherd Puppies
These puppies were born Aug 20th and are currently 11 weeks old. They are a mix between our Golden Lab, or Goldador (1/2 English Cream Golden, 1/2 Silver Labrador Retriever) and Patriot, a European White Swiss Shepherd (Berger Blanc Suisse). Both sides are pedigreed, available on the website. The aim is for exceptional temperament, intelligence, trainability and physical beauty. We hope to be able to provide special needs families with outstanding family dogs that will potentially be suited, with training, to be therapy or emotional support dogs. Because of that, we will be offering qualifying SN families a discount on price as long as you agree to keep in contact with us for a minimum of 2 years so we can assess the long term suitability of this mix.
Puppies will have a variety of coat lengths and thicknesses. The mother, being half Golden, has a fluffier tail than you'd see in a Lab but her hair is only thick enough to dig your fingers into, and she only sheds a normal amount. The father is a "plush" WSS/BBS and some of the puppies have a longer coat than others. They will certainly be needing a reasonable amount of activity, as any Shepherd/Lab mix would, and a prospective family must be prepared to provide that.
The website has many more photos and will be updated as they get older. Puppies are temperament tested. They will come with a health clause in the contract.
Prospective owners will need to be able to provide details of the family and living environment before a puppy is placed. We reserve the right to place puppies, considering temperament and family dynamics, but please feel free to communicate your preferences. There will be a contract.
The puppies are already learning basic commands and elimination control. They are smart, friendly, and exceptionally well socialized due to our recent move.
