Ojito: Looking for a new home
Hello there! We are looking to rehome Ojito ASAP. We gave him the name Ojito because he has one eye (Spanish: little eye) and was a rescue that was randomly given to us by a family friend. Ojito is a very loving Chow Chow and loves to be loved while giving you the space you need. He is house trained and never has accidents. He understands boundaries when trained, for us, he never enters the kitchen or upstairs area, the door can be left open and he never once ran out. He is crate trained, say the words “Sleepy time” and he’ll go into the crate on his own. He is not scared of vacuums and can determine a real vs a fake doorbell from the tv. He never barks at the fake doorbells. Even though we really love him, he does not fit into our lives. My mother has declined health issues and many of us have asthma. We are not financially stable to provide for him. Ojito is great with puppies and very gentle, but has not been socialized with other animals (including dogs his age/older). In this household, he does not have a big yard to be a dog in and nobody has time to take him walking. He does have anxiety and can be very skittish at times. He knows what’s his and what’s yours. He has never chewed shoes or took any toys that weren’t his. He doesn’t mind being brushed and can patiently wait. He understands the command stay and lay/down. He enjoys to chase flies and catch them. He is a very unique dog that will be remembered for the rest of our lives, but all things come to an end. We are looking for someone that will be patient with him and love him just as we have done.View Detail
