3/14/24 UPDATE. PUPPIES ARE NOW READY TO LEAVE…1 FEMALE, 4 MALES STILL AVAILABLE. This is now my 3rd litter of Setterdoodles but this will be a smaller MINI version since the sire of this litter is a MINIATURE Poodle . Mom is my Reg. Llewelyn English Setter ( smaller size of English Setters) 42 lbs, dad is my Purebred Miniature Poodle 11 lbs. Both parents have been DNA health tested prior to breeding. Ive gotten excellent feedback from the new owners of the previous litters. ..colors are Parti, Phantom and a Sable. The English Setter and many of the other hunting breeds were very popular in the 50s and 60s, known to be very devoted family pets that do very well with children (I can attest to that. I grew up with an English Setter as a small child). They seemed to have dropped in popularity due to the fact that they shed. I bred my English Setter to my poodle to help eliminate some the shedding but still preserve the wonderful qualities of the, always happy, English setter. The poodle being one of the smartest breeds of dogs and non shedding just seemed like the best doodle combination yet. I am happy to say that the new owners of the last litters are in total agreement. These pups will be smaller than the Standard size. The puppies have been vet examined, have first vaccinations and are kept on a deworming program. My puppies are born and raised in my home as new members of my household. This makes them very well socialized and better able to adapt to their new homes. This has been my method of raising my puppies for over 40 years. No kennels or puppy mills here.
