Recently Adopted Finch Birds Near Santa Monica
Zebra Finch Pair with 36 x18 Cage, Travel Cage, Food, Toys, Perches
I'm selling a pair of Zebra Finches (Taeniopygia Guttata). The male, "Beaker", has standard coloration and is approx. 1.5 years old. The female, "Trinity", is Albino and is approx. 6 months old. This is a breeding pair so they do lay fertile eggs. They have been raised with love and care with a healthy diet and lots of time outdoors. I have been raising Finches for 15 years, and the only reason I have chosen to part with them is that I live in a small apartment (making cleanup difficult) and I am soon transitioning from a remote work situation to a hybrid in-office schedule. I'm afraid that they will not get the fresh air, love, and attention that they need to thrive.
I'm including the full set-up - including a 36"H x 18"W x 13"D Cage (cleaned prior to sale), a 16"H x 12"W x 20" Deep foldable Travel Cage, ropes, perches, nesting box, toys, birdbath, 1 month supply of 'ZuPreme Small Selects - for Very Small Birds' seedmix, treats, and written instructions on common care tips for finches.
As I'm looking to re-home to the right home, I'd like to ask a few questions prior to committing to a sale. I just want to ensure that they will be getting the love and attention they need to thrive. Ideally, these would be going to a home with children, elderly, other birds, or someone who can devote the time required to keeping their cage clean and putting them outdoors in the daytime and taking them in at night. They love the fresh air year round - especially here in Southern California, and I want to ensure that they will be able to enjoy as much of the outdoors as possible. They also LOVE music - so the more tunes they get the better.
A few questions that I'd ask that you please respond to in your rely are the following:
- What is your experience with birds?
- Do you have a history with birds or would these be your first?
- Are these going to a household with children and/or the elderly?
- Do you have any other birds and/or household pets?
- Do you have any cats?
None of these are prerequisites - I'm just trying to make the right match for their new home. The point is to start a dialogue between us. A quick sale is not important to me, I'd rather ensure that these are going to a loving owner.
