Rescue mare for sale
Arwen first arrived on September 3rd 2022. I was told by the lady who delivered her that Arwen was a barrel horse. I had her seen by a vet who examined her and said she was around 23 years old. They were floating her teeth when they discovered she's missing teeth and had a very loose molar that they pulled out. Due to Arwen's dental issues she isn't able to eat hay and has to be on a soft diet. So I've been feeding her hay pellets, alfalfa pellets, senior feed, and beet pellets soaked with water until it's all a complete mush which she gets 2x per day. She has since gained weight and looks so much better than when she 1st arrived. I was originally planning to keep her, but its getting difficult to keep up with her feed. Since she's gained a lot of weight I was able to put a saddle on her and ride her for a bit. She stood still while I saddled her, responds extremely well to clicking, kissing noises, and light leg pressure. She's broke to ride, but probably needs an experienced rider at least until she gets used to being ridden again. She had her hooves trimmed January 25th. The only thing i want is for her to go to a loving home where she'll continue to be loved and cared for. Located in Kearney, NebraskaView Detail
