Gemma and Dozer hit it off right away. This is Gemma's 2nd litter. Cane Corso: Affectionate / Intelligent / Majestic About the Breed Smart, trainable, and of noble bearing, the assertive and confident Cane Corso is a peerless protector. The Corso's lineage goes back to ancient Roman times, and the breed's name roughly translates from the Latin as 'bodyguard dog.' At nearly 28 inches at the shoulder and often weighing more than 100 pounds, with a large head, alert expression, and muscles rippling beneath their short, stiff coat, Corsi are at a glance intimidating creatures. Their imposing appearance is their first line of defense against intruders. As one writer put it, 'An understated air of cool competence, the kind of demeanor you'd expect from a professional bodyguard, is the breed's trademark.' Corsi are intelligent, loyal, eager to please, versatile, and intensely loyal to their humans, but are also assertive and willful, and can end up owning an unwitting owner. As with any other big guardian dog, responsible breeding and early socialization with people and other dogs is vital. About our Family: As a kid my parents tried to tell me we couldn't have a dog because they both grew up with them their whole lives and with my sister being ill we didn't need another responsibility. I had a listening problem as a child. Meaning I wasn't going to take no for an answer. I remember bringing home my first puppy Mocha (cow dog mix) I had got her from my best friend when her dog had puppies. She was so cute and she was already at our house... They agreed to let me keep her. She was my first dog and I was in love. After that I can't ever remember not having a dog. I have had many different breeds before and I was never partial to the dog being a mix or full blood, or even a certain bread. It is all about the personality. My Great Grandmother and my Grandmother were both dog breeders. My Great Grandmother raised little Pomeranians and my grandmother raised Greyhounds. I can remember helping with the dogs since I could walk. My grandmother was always out at the kennels taking care of the dogs. She had a routine and trained each of her dogs. She was outside with them for 75% of the day. They loved her! She raised Greyhounds until she was in her 70's. She finally agreed it was time to get out. She would have different trainers everywhere in the USA. She loved to travel and raising and racing her Greyhounds was her means to do that. It was a blast growing up and getting to go with my grandparents to the races and getting to watch Grandma's dog's win. Her basement to this day is still filled with trophies from her dogs. Another thing I remember about my grandmother was that she always gave her dogs American Indian names like Dakota Chief. I am not nearly as ambitious as either of my Grandmothers, as I can't handle more than a few dogs at a time. Whenever we get a dog it becomes family, they don't have their own rooms or anything but I will say they are all partial to my bed but any bed in the house will suffice. Our family is proud to have Gemma a female 3yrs old (Cane Corso), Emmy female 10yrs old (Lab and German Shephard Mix) They are inside dogs. We have a big family and love to play and get to know the puppies. The puppies love the affection. Gemma's new puppies live in the house with us. We have lots of friends and family of all ages who have been by to meet and socialize with the puppies from birth. Gemma's tail and ears weren't cropped. Ears are docked at 8 to 12 weeks and we prefer you get this done with your vet if this is something that you want. Gemma is up to date on all shots and vaccinations and sees her vet regularly. The puppies are tested for temperament before placement to ensure we match each puppy to their new family. We encourage you to remain in contact after the sale and if you have any questions or concerns reach out. We are here to help. All Puppies have been socialized with different children and adults beginning at birth.View Detail
