You can’t decide to breed and that is it. This is an ancient hunting Italian breed and rare. There are AKC standards and SCOA regulations. My dogs went through the training, traveling, shows or the hunting field work. and the medical testing regulations. Not all of them were a fit and I had to start again. SO now almost twelve years in, we have learned a lot, and we made it to the breeding place.
